Tennis is my racket.
And the root of my madness is in Westwood.
I went to UCLA for college, partially because of their legendary tennis team.
That was in late 70fs, where the likes of Eliot Telcher, Robbie Venter, Marcel Freeman and Mike Herrington were roaming around the Sunset Court.
.

It was exciting then, and it still ever is. In fact, I never left, at least not spiritually.  So I keep going back to the LA Tennis Center whenver I could.

Update: 5/19/2007
Bruins lost in the quarter final round of NCAA tournament to #1 Georgia.
It marks the end of the remarkable season for the great team. But the individual competitions remain.

Every year, we go to Indian Wells for Packfic Life Open tournament. This is the largest pro event this side of Mississippi, where top pros from both ATP and WTA compete.

We customarily go there on the first weekend, where they are playing first and second rounds, using all courts and the most number of matches are played.
I love the competition, I love the excitement in the air. Itfs a real treat.
